VOIPconnect allows you to choose the local loop you want to use and make calls via your ADSL, Wireless Broadband connection or fixed line Internet connection.

Connection Telecom provides SIP or IAX2 connections for individual use or Asterisk servers for business use.

With VOIPconnect you can:
- make lower cost national calls

- make cheap international calls

- make free calls to other Connection Telecom on-net users

- and lower cost cellular calls

With each account you get the following features.

Rates

Calling other VOIPconnect users is free! You can call other VOIPconnect members on their 087-82 number. You can also make significant savings when you dial national, international and South African cellular numbers.

We want to keep things as simple as possible and while we have detailed rate sheets available to subscribers our summary rate sheet for most common destinations is simple.

Asterisk Hosted IP PBX

VOIPconnects Asterisk hosted telephony solution that offers many of the same features and benefits of a PBX at a fraction of the cost. A hosted PBX frees you from the limitation of location based PBX systems and allows you the flexibility to focus on expanding and growing your business.

  • Your own virtual Asterisk server hosted in carrier class data-centre
  • Fixed public IP address, essential for registration and access from remote locations and devices
  • Full features of Asterisk including FreePBX GUI interface for web access
  • SSH access for traditional command line editing - root access included, advanced users can rebuild and customise Asterisk as they require
  • SIP and IAX2 registrations (up to 100 concurrent registrations/active calls)
  • IAX2 trunk to VOIPconnect service providing 10 VOIPconnect (087) numbers and ability to terminate calls (* pre-paid minutes required for outgoing calls)
  • Free incoming and on-net calls to a maximum of 1000 minutes thereafter 5c per minute.
  • 500MB of Internet traffic (additional traffic charged at 15c per MB)
  • Ideal for running PBX for geographically distributed users, or a hub for an inter-branch communications network or as a risk free test environment
